Support for leaders from Wellbeing Matters

Informal consultation 

If you're a Berkshire health or social care manager or team leader, book an informal consultation on how to support your team. Email staffsupportservice@berkshire.nhs.uk 


Workshops and Outreach Sessions 

Wellbeing Matters offers tailored wellbeing workshops and outreach presentations to health and care organisations across Berkshire.  

Outreach presentations explain our support, how it helps and how to access it.

Wellbeing Matters workshops are more interactive, providing psychoeducation, advice, and exercises on the topics of wellbeing most relevant to your team, such as:  

  • Wellbeing 
  • Emotional resilience 
  • Support for managers 
  • Stress, burnout and moral injury

Wellbeing Matters Team Support Hubs. A safe space for a team or group to talk about how a situation is affecting you and ways of coping, with a psychological practitioner.

Supporting your team

As a manager or team leader, you may be aware people in your team are dealing with a range of practical and emotional issues, in or outside the workplace. We know it may feel difficult to know how to support your team members with the issues they are dealing with. Here are some resources to help.

Leading Well for Staff Health and Wellbeing in the NHS - FutureLearn

Develop your understanding of your own health and wellbeing to better lead and support your colleagues.Whilst the course is focused on NHS leaders, it may also be beneficials to leaders and managers working in related fields such as social care and the voluntary or community sectors.

The course is online, 3 hours a week for 3 weeks, certificate awarded on completion. Read this blog about the course and why it is needed.
